Ealing Council has launched a new online tool, the Ealing Health Inequalities Dashboard, to provide residents and community organisations with access to data and evidence about health disparities in the borough. The dashboard is intended to address a wide range of health disparities, including those related to different health conditions such as depression, diabetes and hypertension, access to services, and the social, economic, and environmental factors that affect health and wellbeing. Users can filter data by age, sex, ethnicity, and geographical location to identify specific disparities.
The dashboard, highlighted in the Health of the Borough Report 2024-2025, aims to increase transparency and support community-led change. It was discussed at the Health and Adult Social Services Scrutiny Panel meeting on Thursday, 10 July 2025.
The interactive tool provides data on various health conditions, access to services, and social, economic, and environmental factors affecting health. Users can filter data by age, sex, ethnicity, and geographical location.
The dashboard aims to provide data to support the work of voluntary and community sector organisations, and can be used for purposes such as grant applications. The report also mentions that the dashboard was developed in response to requests from community organisations, which were raised during the Health and Wellbeing Strategy consultation.
The Health of the Borough Report 2024-2025 also highlighted the work of Ealing's Community Champions, a network of 89 residents supporting their communities to enjoy better health and wellbeing.
