Havering Council's People Overview & Scrutiny Sub-Committee is set to scrutinise the support provided to young carers as part of its work programme for the upcoming year.
The committee, which met on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, agreed to add the support performance for young carers to its agenda, following a suggestion from Councillor Oscar Ford.
Councillor Matthew highlighted the importance of concluding and providing feedback on ongoing scrutiny work, including young carers.
The committee agreed that the scrutiny of young carers' support would be added to the work programme and prioritised accordingly, with a revised draft work programme to be circulated to members for comment.
