During a recent meeting, Councillor Ross Houston, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Homes and Regeneration, highlighted key achievements. A lease has been granted for Plot 1 to Sheffield Hallam University, signalling the arrival of a new university campus in the borough. This development is part of a wider plan to enhance the area's educational and commercial landscape.

Further progress includes the completion of leases for Claremont Park and the Pavilion, securing their long-term management. The demolition of a parade of shops on Claremont Way has also been completed, making way for future retail and community spaces. Among the new retailers set to open are 'Always Gladice', a restaurant and bar targeting a September launch, and Gail's bakery, which has signed an Agreement for Lease for a unit on the ground floor of Plot 1. A new Pilates studio is also planned for Plot 13. While specific opening dates for the latter two are not yet confirmed, they are expected to open later in the year or in autumn.

In terms of recreational facilities, equipment from the Exploratory Park has been temporarily relocated to Whitefield Avenue, where a ball court will be available for recreation. This provision will be in place while Phase 1 works are carried out on Clitterhouse Playing Fields. These works are progressing well and aim to deliver new connections, play and sport facilities, and landscaping.

Plans are also progressing for the Clitterhouse Farm buildings to be brought back into community use. 'Our Yard' has been offered a six-year lease for the Cottage and Hayloft. Discussions are ongoing regarding the Plot 13 Community Space, with architectural services appointed to design its internal layout. A community engagement process for the Clitterhouse Farm buildings is planned for later in the year.
