Two Tower Hamlets councillors, Nathalie Bienfait and Abdi Mohamed, declared that they accepted free tickets to the LIDO festival, according to a quarterly update presented at the Standards Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday, 10 July 2025.

The declarations, made between 1 April and 30 June, were the only declarations received during that period, according to the Register of Interests and Gifts and Hospitality Quarterly Update. The tickets, provided by AEG Europe, had an estimated value of £246 each.

The report, received by the Standards Advisory Committee, monitors compliance with the Council Code of Conduct for Members, which requires councillors to register and disclose interests and declare any offer of a gift or hospitality with an estimated value of at least £25.

The agenda for the meeting also included discussions on the Continuous Improvement Plan and the Code of Conduct.

The Standards Advisory Committee consists of 5 elected members of the Council and up to 5 independent co-opted members. A quorum requires at least three members, including one Councillor and one Co-opted Member, according to the Standards Advisory Committee - Terms of Reference.
