Lewisham's Local Plan has been given the go-ahead after receiving the Planning Inspector's approval. The Lewisham Council's Mayor and Cabinet convened on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, to discuss and ultimately recommend the adoption of the Local Plan.
The Planning Inspector deemed the Local Plan sound subject to a number of main modifications. The list of these modifications is available in Appendix B of the Local Plan - Adoption Proposal Report.
The Local Plan - Adoption Proposal Report detailed that the Planning Inspector had provided their final report in June 2025, deeming the plan sound, subject to these modifications. Additional modifications are outlined in Appendix C.
The Local Plan is a crucial document that will shape the future development of the borough.
