Lewisham Council is considering implementing sustainable street measures in four areas: Catford South, Hither Green, Lee Green, and Brockley.
The proposals were discussed at a Mayor and Cabinet meeting on 9 July 2025, where reports including consultation feedback for Brockley and Catford South, Hither Green, and Lee Green were reviewed.
The Sustainable Street measures report included consultation reports for Brockley and Catford South, Hither Green, and Lee Green.
The agenda for the meeting shows that the Sustainable Street measures were discussed along with other items including the adoption of the Local Plan, budget savings proposals, and the Main Grants Programme.
Consultation results on proposed street changes show mixed opinions on the introduction of parking permits, but more positive responses to safer crossings, EV charging points, tree planting, and cycle hangar storage.
