Ealing Council is taking steps to achieve White Ribbon Accreditation as part of its ongoing vision to tackle inequality and crime, as outlined in the council's strategy and the Briefing Note.
The White Ribbon Accreditation is a programme that recognises organisations committed to preventing violence against women. Ealing Council's pursuit of this accreditation underscores its dedication to fostering a safe and inclusive community.
In addition to seeking White Ribbon Accreditation, Ealing Council is undertaking several other initiatives detailed in the Workforce Report related to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). These include:
- Reviewing and enhancing EDI content on the council's website and internal platforms
- Reviewing policies on reasonable adjustments and bullying
- Establishing employee equality networks
- Introducing wellbeing days
- Developing an EDI handbook for frontline staff
