Green Spaces Spotlight
A significant portion of the forum was dedicated to the Community Spotlight
segment, focusing on the importance of local green spaces. Representatives from the Friends of Inwood Park, alongside Liam Moore, Head of Greenspace, provided updates on the condition and future plans for these vital community assets. Blood and Organ Donation Awareness
The forum also featured an information sharing session aimed at raising awareness about the critical need for blood and organ donors among all Hounslow residents. This initiative sought to encourage more residents to consider becoming donors and contribute to saving lives. Public Forum and Key Concerns
Residents had the opportunity to voice their concerns and ask questions during the open forum. Issues raised included littering, dog fouling, and fly-tipping in local parks and streets. Councillor Chaudhary responded that fines were being issued and commended the work being done by the Parks team. Councillor Pritam Grewal added that work was being done to increase the number and hours of street cleaners employed on the high street. Residents were encouraged to report issues and avoid using unlicensed collectors.
Other topics discussed included car-free developments and traffic issues in West Hounslow. Councillor Chaudhary agreed to pass on the suggestion of a yellow box junction to the lead member for consideration.
