Enfield Council is set to expand its council housing stock with the acquisition of land in Crews Hill, where a scheme to build 58 new homes is planned.

The decision, made during a Cabinet meeting on 10 September 2025, delegates authority to the Cabinet Member for Housing, Ayten Guzel, to finalise the land acquisition, pending legal advice regarding the legal structure of the acquisition. The Executive Director of Housing and Regeneration, in consultation with the Director of Law and Governance, is authorised to enter into the necessary land and build contracts.

The move is part of a broader strategy to manage and maintain the council's housing assets, as outlined in the Council Housing Asset Management Strategy 2025-2029, which was recommended to Full Council for approval at the same meeting.
