The future of Park Lodge, a detached house on Wormwood Scrubs, is uncertain due to significant structural damage caused by subsidence. Hammersmith and Fulham's Wormwood Scrubs Charitable Trust Committee is considering demolishing the building due to safety and security risks.
The committee is scheduled to discuss the matter at its meeting on 18 June 2025, according to the meeting agenda. A building condition survey revealed that mature vegetation near the property has impacted the foundations, leading to differential settlement and large cracks in the internal facade and ceilings. The public reports pack states that the committee will consider the safety and security risks of maintaining the building in its current state, especially given the anticipated long-term closure of Old Oak Common Lane due to HS2 works.
Other items on the agenda for the Wormwood Scrubs Charitable Trust Committee meeting include updates on the KAA2 site decommissioning, the Linford Christie Sports Centre capital programme, and the Braybrook Street Play Area Improvement Scheme.
