Police and Barnet Council are collaborating to tackle overparking issues in Cricklewood, with successful operations already conducted in Cricklewood, High Barnet, and West Hendon.
At a Barnet Council meeting on Tuesday, Councillor Cohen raised the question of whether the lessons learned from addressing overparking in Cricklewood could be applied to other areas within the borough. The issue of overparking was initially brought to light during ward walks.
Councillor Conway responded, highlighting the importance of resident and ward councillor input in driving these initiatives. He also noted the council is working to improve the ward walk process, including tightening the reporting process and tracking findings to enable learning to be shared across different wards.
As part of our work improving ward walks as we go, we have tightened up the reporting process this year, tracking what's happening as well, which will enable, I think, learning to be shared across different wards on different issues,
said Councillor Conway.
He further mentioned that a report will be prepared to highlight the difference the ward walks have made, which will include information about overparking.
