Enfield police are focusing on youth engagement, retail crime, and park safety, according to updates presented at the Enfield Safer Neighbourhood Board meeting on 23 June 2025. The meeting agenda included a police presentation covering these strategic priorities, as well as discussions on MOPAC funding and ward-level concerns.
The police update highlighted strategic initiatives aimed at schools and youth, town centres, retail crime prevention, and park security. Chief Inspector Rob Gibbs provided an update on Operation Pisces, focusing on the Joyce and Snells estates in Enfield, and the Love Lane Estate and Rothbury Park in Haringey. Data on arrests, stops, and seizures from June 2024 to January 2025 were included in the public reports pack.
The meeting also addressed partnership working and governance, with Councillor Ergin Erbil, Leader of Enfield Council, and Councillor Gina Needs, Cabinet Member for Community Cohesion and Enforcement, noted as members of the Executive Oversight Board. Glenn Breslin, the chair, provided an update on MOPAC funding for 2025/26. Ward Panel Chairs gave verbal updates on local issues.
