The Enfield Safer Neighbourhood Board convened on Monday, June 23, 2025, to discuss key issues impacting the borough, including updates from the police, ward-level concerns, and, crucially, the allocation of MOPAC (Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime) funding for the upcoming year.
Glenn Breslin, the chair, led the discussion on MOPAC funding for 2025/26. The board also reviewed the minutes from their previous meeting and discussed matters arising from those minutes.
Chief Inspector Rob Gibbs, Enfield Safer Neighbourhoods, provided an update on Operation Pisces. The operation focuses on specific estates in Enfield and Haringey. In Enfield, the Joyce and Snells estates are receiving additional attention. In Haringey, the Love Lane Estate and Rothbury Park are the focus. The presentation pack included data on arrests, stops, and seizures made between June 2024 and January 2025.
The meeting also included a discussion of partnership working and governance. The presentation pack highlighted the membership of the Executive Oversight Board, including Councillor Ergin Erbil, Leader of Enfield Council, and Councillor Gina Needs, Cabinet Member for Community Cohesion and Enforcement. It also listed the membership of the Strategic Oversight Boards for both Enfield and Haringey.
Verbal updates were also provided by the Ward Panel Chairs, offering insights into local issues and concerns across Enfield's diverse neighbourhoods. The agenda also included discussion of future meeting dates, with meetings scheduled for October 13, 2025, January 12, 2026 and April 13, 2026.
