Sutton Common tennis court fencing is set to be repaired thanks to funding allocated by the North Cheam, Stonecot and Worcester Park Local Committee.
The committee approved £2,500 for the project, which aims to patch holes and prevent the wire from lifting at the bottom of the fence at Sutton Common. The funding was discussed at the committee's meeting on 11 November 2025, as part of a broader update on local funding opportunities. The tennis court fencing repairs are part of a larger investment in public spaces within the borough. The committee's Public Realm Funding programme has a rolling budget to improve local parks and other spaces. According to the Public Reports Pack, £19,660 has already been committed to projects in 2025/26, with £43,835.89 remaining available.
