Hounslow Council is collaborating with five other West London boroughs to refresh the West London Waste Plan, aiming for a more sustainable approach to waste management. The plan is a joint effort with Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Richmond upon Thames, and aims to manage waste sustainably across the region.
The Hounslow Cabinet convened on 11 November 2025, to discuss the West London Waste Plan Refresh - Final Cabinet report. The Agenda frontsheet for the meeting indicates that the West London Waste Plan Refresh was a key item for discussion among Councillors Shantanu Rajawat, Lily Bath, Tom Bruce, Samia Chaudhary, Katherine Dunne, Ajmer Grewal, Pritam Grewal, Shivraj Grewal, Sue Sampson and Salman Shaheen.
The agenda also included an item regarding the West London Waste Plan Refresh - Regulation 18 Consultation
, indicating that public consultations were conducted to gather input for the plan refresh.
