A proposal to extend a garden studio on Caroline Terrace in Belgravia faces opposition from local residents, Westminster City Council's Planning Sub-Committee (1) heard on Tuesday, 24 June 2025.
The application, submitted by Mrs Kathleen Locke for 14A Caroline Terrace, seeks permission for part demolition and extensions to the existing garden studio, including new windows and rooflights, to convert it into a residential dwelling. The meeting agenda is available here.
According to the meeting agenda, the council has received 11 letters of objection from seven nearby residents, citing concerns related to land use, amenity, and design. Objectors argue the proposal is inappropriate for the area, will negatively impact neighbours, and is out of character with the Belgravia Conservation Area.
