Lewisham Council approves £693,000 grant for youth project

Lewisham Council has approved a £693,000 grant for a youth project aimed at supporting young people in Downham.

The funding, awarded by the Youth Futures Foundation, will be used for the delivery of Connected Futures Phase 2: Elevate 100 in Downham.

The project will be undertaken in partnership with Circle Collective and Phoenix Community Housing.

Mayor Brenda Dacres formally moved the report detailing the grant approval, and the recommendations were seconded and agreed. The decision was made during a Mayor and Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.
