Redbridge Council's Homes and Neighbourhoods Policy Development Committee convened on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, under the chairmanship of Councillor Kumud Joshi. The meeting focused on a detailed review of evidence, conclusions, and recommendations pertaining to homes and neighbourhoods, alongside discussions on the committee's annual work programme for 2025/26.

While no residents had registered to speak during the public question time, the committee proceeded with its agenda. To submit a question for future meetings, residents are required to email their question, the intended recipient, and their full contact details to Committee.Services@redbridge.gov.uk by 5pm on the Thursday preceding the meeting. The Chair noted the absence of registered speakers on this occasion.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the committee's annual work programme for 2025/26. This plan, detailed in the HN PDCs Annual Work Programme 10 March 2026, outlines the committee's planned activities and priorities for the upcoming year.

An update was also provided by the Chair of the Homes and Neighbourhoods Policy Development Committee, following their attendance at meetings of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee. The Overview and Scrutiny Committee had met in February and March 2024, discussing items such as revenue and capital budget, MFTS, HRA finance, rent setting, budgetary control, debt management strategy, and customer services experience strategy. The meeting scheduled for April 20th was cancelled, and no further meetings of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee took place in that municipal year. This ensures a vital flow of information between the two committees.

Following the discussions and reviews, the committee's recommendations will be compiled and forwarded to the relevant departments for further action. The unconfirmed minutes of this meeting are available to view here.
