Enfield Council's Safer Neighbourhood Board has agreed to review its newsletter distribution methods following concerns raised about accessibility.
During a meeting on Monday, January 12, 2026, board members discussed that a minority of individuals were not receiving their ward newsletters. Concerns were raised that MET Engage, the digital platform used by the police for distribution, is an additional platform and is seen as less accessible than email by many residents.
Detective Superintendent Marco Bardetti acknowledged that sign-ups in Enfield remain low. He stated that getting users to sign up in the borough had been a struggle, even when deploying tactics that other boroughs have used successfully with the same demographic. Despite these efforts, MET Engage is being promoted across London to ensure consistent information quality.
