Lambeth Walk Group Practice patients may soon find their healthcare services consolidated into a single site, following discussions at the Lambeth Together Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC). The committee, which is responsible for ensuring equitable and accessible primary care, has approved pursuing single-site solutions for the Lambeth Walk Group Practice and Waterloo Health Centre.
The Lambeth Together Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) is responsible for facilitating service users with accessible and equitable primary care services in the community, including services provided by general practices, dentists, pharmacists and eye care specialists. The Committee's primary objective is to address and mitigate any healthcare inequalities within the community whilst improving access.
The decision, made at the PCCC meeting on 14 May 2025, also supports the potential to collocate the Lambeth Walk Group Practice with another surgery. This move aims to streamline services and improve efficiency, according to the Public Reports Pack from the Lambeth Together Care Partnership meeting on 3 July 2025.
The Lambeth Together Care Partnership Board, which ratified these decisions, aims to facilitate accessible and equitable primary care services, addressing healthcare inequalities and improving access for all residents.
While the Lambeth Walk Group Practice is being considered for a single-site solution, the specific location has not yet been determined.
