City of London councillors have been urged to address noise pollution caused by buskers, following concerns raised by the Ward of Queenhithe.
During a meeting of the Court of Common Council on Thursday, 21 May 2026, the ward's resolution stated that the City Corporation should explain the procedures and measures taken against Southwark Council regarding the lack of enforcement of noise pollution bylaws against buskers on the South Bank.
The resolution highlighted that this has been a long-standing problem with no progress to date, and residents of the Ward of Queenhithe requested that it receive urgent attention.
