Hillingdon Planning Committee has approved enabling works
for a new data centre campus at Hayes Bridge Retail Park. The decision, made on Thursday, June 4, 2026, allows for site clearance and ground preparation as a precursor to the wider data centre development.
These preparatory works are temporary and limited in scope. They include site clearance, ground preparation, excavation, utility diversions, and the installation of temporary hoarding and a substation. These works are considered acceptable in terms of design, heritage, residential amenity, environmental considerations, transport, and sustainability, subject to planning conditions.
The data centre campus is set to connect to an established facility at Tudor Works on Beaconsfield Road. The enabling works are intended to accelerate the overall construction timeline for the campus, which is recognised as Critical National Infrastructure.
