Hillingdon Council's Cabinet has approved the disposal of the former Conway Hall site in Hayes, paving the way for the freehold interest of the land to be sold on the open market.
The decision, made during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, 25 June 2026, follows a review that identified no suitable community or operational use for the site, which has been vacant for several years.
Councillor Nick Denys, Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing and Property, highlighted that the disposal aims to bring the land back into productive use, generate a capital receipt for reinvestment, and remove ongoing maintenance costs.
Authority for all necessary decisions regarding the disposal and final sale has been delegated to the Corporate Director of Residents Services, in consultation with Councillor Denys.
