Hillingdon Council's Cabinet has approved a contract for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of domestic lifts and hoists for council housing properties. The contract, awarded to Caretech UK Ltd, will run for an initial period of three years from September 1, 2026, with an option to extend for a further two years.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026, as detailed in the Printed minutes 25th-Jun-2026 19.00 CABINET.
The contract is valued at approximately £107,000 per annum. If the two-year extension option is exercised, the total potential value of the contract would be approximately £535,000 over the full five-year term.
This agreement specifically covers the servicing, maintenance, and repair of domestic lifts and hoists. There are no provisions within this contract for upgrades or replacements of older equipment.
Authority to agree any extensions to the contract has been delegated to the Corporate Director for Residents Services, in consultation with Councillor Nick Denys, Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing & Property.
