Croydon Council's scrutiny committee has flagged contracts with Veolia and FM Conway for closer examination as part of its future work programme. The Scrutiny Children & Young People Sub-Committee discussed the need for robust contract management during a meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

He specifically mentioned the ongoing management of the FM Conway contract, which is subject to yearly renewal, and the waste management contract with Veolia.
The discussion also touched upon the South London Waste Partnership and the Burlington Incinerator, indicating a broad interest in the council's waste and environmental service contracts. The committee aims to ensure these contracts are being managed effectively and delivering value for residents.
