Hillingdon Council has approved the sale of the former Sea Cadets Hut site located at Watersplash Lane in Hayes.
The decision, made by the council's Cabinet on Thursday, September 17, 2026, aims to dispose of the property via a private treaty sale. The site has been vacant for over 15 years and is no longer required for council services.
According to the meeting minutes, the disposal is intended to remove a long-term liability, reduce the risk of anti-social behaviour, and bring the site back into productive use, generating a capital receipt for the council. Authority has been delegated to the Corporate Director of Residents Services to finalise the sale terms.
