The Wandsworth Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) convened on Monday, 3 November 2025, to discuss interfaith relations, Faith Trails, Faith Direct sessions, and other matters pertaining to religious education in the borough.

As part of the meeting, the council was scheduled to discuss the published 2024-25 Ofsted, SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) and CSI (Catholic Schools Inspectorate) reports for Wandsworth schools.

Lord Khan of Burnley delivered a presentation on interfaith relations to the council. The presentation was part of the agenda at the meeting held at Wandsworth Town Hall. SACRE members also viewed Lord Khan's presentation, Message for SACREs from Lord Khan of Burnley.

Dianne Jones, Voluntary Sector Strategy and Partnership Manager, provided an introduction to the Multi-Faith Forum. The council also received verbal updates on the Faith Trails and Faith Direct sessions, and discussed the possibility of open days for members of the public.

In addition to interfaith matters, the council reviewed Ofsted, SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools), and CSI (Catholic Schools Inspectorate) reports for the 2024-2025 academic year. Schools reviewed included:

  • Hotham Primary School, which received an outstanding rating from Ofsted, with inspectors noting the school's meticulous personal, social, and health education programme that provides pupils with knowledge about different faiths, cultures, and backgrounds. The full Ofsted report is available to view online.
  • Trinity St Mary's Church of England Primary School, where SIAMS inspectors found the school enabled pupils and adults to flourish due to its inclusive and aspirational Christian vision. The full SIAMS report is available to view online.
  • St George's Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School, which, according to SIAMS inspectors, has a biblically rooted Christian vision that provides a reference point for the school's life, learning, and direction. The full SIAMS report is available to view online.
  • Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, lauded by CSI inspectors as a welcoming and supportive community that serves the Lord with joy. The full CSI report is available to view online.
  • Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Primary School, recognised by CSI inspectors as a community where Catholic life and mission are central to its purpose. The full CSI report is available to view online.

The next SACRE meeting is scheduled for Monday, 26th January 2026, at Alderbrook Primary School.
