Wandsworth Council's Grants Sub-Committee has recommended awards totalling £141,000 to 17 local organisations through Round 31 of the Wandsworth Grant Fund. The meeting, held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, reviewed 51 applications, of which 39 were deemed eligible. These eligible applications had requested a total of £315,556.52.
Harriet Steele, voluntary sector partnership manager, presented the report, outlining that £159,427 had already been awarded through the Wandsworth Grant Fund this year, with £65,073 remaining. The committee also considered utilising over £20,000 from the Wandsworth Community Fund and more than £55,500 from an uplift to the fund through the cost of living fund to support the recommended awards.
During the discussion, Councillor Warro expressed a desire to help Battersea Befriending Network explore further funding opportunities. He suggested it would be nice to go back to them and see how we can help them make applications to other funding,
though he did not specify particular opportunities.
