Chiswick residents can expect to see improvements in the collection of Lime e-bikes, following discussions between Hounslow Council officers and the company. The move comes after numerous complaints about abandoned e-bikes obstructing pavements and causing a nuisance outside of designated parking bays.
The issue was addressed at a recent Chiswick Area Forum meeting, where Councillor Peter Thompson advised that the council had engaged with Lime to address the problem. Lime has committed to being more proactive in collecting abandoned bikes, according to the meeting's minutes.
The problem of abandoned e-bikes was added to the forum's issue tracker, which monitors ongoing concerns raised by residents. Other issues being tracked include notifications from the 'fix my street' app, contactless card parking machines, and a petition from Abinger Road Resident's Association regarding traffic calming measures.
