Kensington and Chelsea Council's Housing & Communities Select Committee will be scrutinising the council's Grenfell rehousing policies, specifically assessing the Local Lettings Plan and the adequacy of Grenfell policies as part of its work programme for the upcoming year.   • Temporary Accommodation: Receiving updates on managing temporary accommodation and the impact of the pensions fund.
  • Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
  • Support for Voluntary and Community Groups.
  • Major Works: Consultation and engagement.

The Lancaster West Refurbishment project was also discussed, with the committee reviewing feedback from a previous meeting where residents shared their experiences. The committee agreed to produce a report with recommendations for the Lead Member for Housing, including reassessing the project, reviewing the communications plan, setting up an independent assessment of the quality of works, meeting with leaseholders, compensating residents for disruption, and prioritising health and wellbeing.
