Harrow Council has formally approved a new Members' Allowances Scheme during its annual meeting, though the decision was met with dissent.
The vote on the Amendment to Members' Allowances Scheme
(Item 16) saw 42 votes in favour, with 13 against. Councillor David Perry registered his discontent with the process, stating, I think from a process perspective, we'd like to register and seek a vote.
He noted that the scheme had not been a cross-party agreement on this occasion, a practice he believed had worked well in the past.
