Hillingdon Planning Committee has approved plans for a new extension to the Premier Inn in Uxbridge, which will add 37 bedrooms to the hotel.
The decision was made at a meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, where the committee considered a total of ten planning applications. The Premier Inn application, located at 3 Riverside Way, Uxbridge, was approved as per the officer's recommendation. The approved plans include a partial change of use of the hotel restaurant, the construction of a new rear extension to provide additional hotel bedrooms, and alterations to the car park. As part of the partial change of use, a 362sqm area of the former Beefeater restaurant will be retained for the exclusive use of hotel guests. The remaining section of the restaurant space will be converted into additional hotel bedrooms, along with ancillary staff and servicing areas.
This expansion is expected to increase the hotel's capacity from 80 to 117 bedrooms. However, the alterations to the car park will result in a reduction of 13 parking spaces, bringing the total from 116 to 103 spaces. This revised capacity will serve both the existing and new hotel rooms.
