Hounslow Council has requested the removal of a derelict cash machine and associated signage on Hounslow Road in Feltham, citing its negative impact on the area's appearance and overall 'look and feel'. The issue was discussed at the Bedfont and Feltham Area Forum meeting on Thursday 25 September 2025.
The matter was brought to the forum's attention by residents during ward walks and previous meetings in 2023, 2024 and 2025, highlighting community concern over the derelict structure's impact on the local environment. Councillor Tak is the action champion for this issue.
According to the Public Reports Pack provided to the forum, the council's Highways department has identified the owner of the cash machine and formally requested its removal. Signage remains an issue, and teams are working to understand the specifics. The council also noted that a planning application (ref: P/2025/1173) for the removal of the defunct telephone-cash kiosk and installation of a new communications kiosk with integrated advertising display at Pavement o/s 15 Station Parade, Hounslow Road, Feltham, TW14 9DF, was approved in June.
The planning consent grants the applicant three years from the decision date to commence the approved works, or the permission expires.
