Residents of Bedfont are being invited to contribute their ideas for projects and positive changes in their community, to be included in the Bedfont Action Plan. The existing Bedfont Action Plan is seeking further items from the community, with current priorities including greening projects, the creation of community or resident groups, seeking funding for sports or leisure activities to benefit young people, and community cohesion events.
The call for suggestions was made ahead of the Bedfont and Feltham Area Forum meeting on 25 September 2025, where action plan updates are scheduled to be discussed. Councillors are particularly interested in hearing about projects related to greening, community or resident groups, sports and leisure activities for young people, and community cohesion events. Councillor Adesh Farmahan said the council knows that across Bedfont there are projects and ideas that the community have which could become items for the action plan. He added, Please speak to us, your councillors or the community development team if you have any ideas you want to put forward.
Councillor Hina Mir said that the council knows that the community have some great ideas for projects and positive changes in Feltham West, from the Feltham Station Gallery to Feltham Fete, mosaics on community walls to positive murals and greening in parks.
Councillor Samina Nagra said that the council is keen for the community to make suggestions for addition to the action plan, mentioning community projects that have happened like the Donkey Woods Improvements, and the work of the Friends of the River Crane in the area as well as tree Planting on Sparrow Farm and the Cricket Pitch Installation.
The agenda for the upcoming meeting includes an informal market place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, followed by the formal meeting at 7.30pm at Feltham Assembly Hall.
