Greenwich Council is preparing to decide on a lease agreement for a new coffee shop in Beresford Square, as part of the Future High Street Fund plan. The decision, scheduled for October 2025, will determine the operator of the Market Pavilion Café, according to the council's Forward Plan.
The Forward Plan, which outlines upcoming executive decisions, was discussed at the Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting on 16 October 2025. According to the Public Reports Pack, the agreement aims to provide economic benefits for Royal Borough of Greenwich residents and the economy, as part of the Future High Street Fund deliverables.
The authority to grant the lease agreement will be made by the Leader of the Council.
