Greenwich Council is preparing to introduce new fees for the collection and disposal of food waste from commercial and non-domestic properties across the borough.
The decision, aimed at cost recovery for these services, is scheduled to be made in October, according to the Forward Plan.
The new fees will affect businesses and organisations operating from commercial and non-domestic properties.
The decision was noted at the Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting on Thursday 16 October 2025. The agenda frontsheet for the meeting confirms that the Forward Plan was on the agenda.
While the council is planning to introduce cost-recovery food waste collection and disposal fees to commercial and non-domestic properties,
the specific fee amounts for different types and volumes of food waste collection have not yet been determined. The decision regarding this is scheduled for October 2025.
