Harrow Council is set to procure a new IT system for pensions administration, aiming to streamline operations and secure the council's responsibilities for the Local Government Pension Scheme in Harrow.

The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting on 30 October 2025, where members approved the commencement of the procurement process. The contract will span seven years, with the option to extend for an additional three.

The Strategic Director of Finance has been authorised to award the contract and make any necessary decisions during the procurement, following consultation with Councillor David Ashton, Portfolio Holder for Finance & Highways.

The move comes as the current contract is set to expire in December 2026. The cost of the IT system will be fully funded from the pension fund.
