Finton House School's plan to increase pupil numbers from 340 to 360 is facing opposition, despite the Wandsworth Council Planning Applications Committee considering the proposal at its meeting on 26 June 2025.
The application seeks to amend Clause 16.1 of the Section 106 Legal Agreement related to planning permission ref. 2004/2240 for the school, located at 169 - 171 Trinity Road SW17 7HL. The school is situated within the Wandsworth Common Conservation Area.
According to the meeting summary, the application has drawn 10 neighbour objections, citing concerns about increased traffic, parking issues, noise disturbance, and strain on local infrastructure. Despite these concerns, Transport for London (TfL) has raised no objections to the proposal, and the report pack stated that the school has achieved Gold Accreditation from TfL's Travel for Life programme.
