Heston Farm Estate playground improvements are on track for completion by April 2027, with a significant portion of the £300,000 funding allocated to the project.
The Heston and Cranford Area Forum meeting, held on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, heard that the playground upgrade is now being led by the council's housing asset management team. This team has prior experience in delivering similar playground enhancements across the borough.
Concerns raised by residents regarding playground lighting have been addressed. The current intention is for any new lighting to operate on a timer system, with an anticipated switch-off time between 8 pm and 9 pm. This aims to balance community use with minimising disruption to nearby residents.
