Hillingdon Council has completed over 12,000 repairs to residents' homes between April and August 2026, with nearly 3,000 of these classified as emergency repairs. During the same period, 99% of emergency repairs were completed within the council's quick target response time.
The figures, revealed during a Council meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2026, also show significant investment in property upgrades. Almost 400 kitchens were replaced, over 160 bathrooms were renewed, and new roofs were installed on 42 homes. Additionally, 71 properties received replacement windows, and more than 200 new boilers were installed.
In addition to these responsive and upgrade works, 279 vacant properties were refurbished. The council also advanced its commitment to sustainability through the Green Homes Programme, with 50 properties benefiting from whole-house energy efficiency improvements. These measures included enhanced wall and loft insulation, replacement windows, roofing works, modern heating systems, and heat recovery technology. The projected impact on residents' energy bills from these improvements has not yet been specified.
