Wandsworth Council is set to tender new contracts for tree supply, planting, and aftercare services, aiming to commence the new agreements on 1 April 2026. The decision was made during the Council meeting on 16 July 2025.
The contracts will span an initial period of four years, with an option to extend for an additional four years. This move aims to ensure the continued maintenance and enhancement of Wandsworth's green spaces.
The Cabinet has delegated authority to the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services, in consultation with the Executive Director of Finance, and Councillor Paul White (Cabinet Member for Environment) to oversee the process. This includes developing the specification and scope of services, agreeing on the procurement strategy, and managing the tendering process.
The decision was outlined in the Report to Council - Cabinet from the meeting. A subsequent report will be presented to the Cabinet to seek approval for the contract awards.
